As a child most of us can recall the fun ‘make believe’ plays we crafted for ourselves such as ‘school-school’, ‘house-house’ or ‘doctor-doctor’ but when these make believes become a reality you know the recipe for a good story will unfold.

This proved to be just the case when Dr Kogels looked deeply into the eyes of Sister Bester.

Dearest Marilyne and Marco,

They say one should never judge a book by its cover but seeing that I already commenced this story with a once-upon-a-time I want to talk about this book called ‘love’ that the two of you have written and shared with us.

Firstly, I could not put your story down!

Your tummy-turned tale left us turning the pages to find out what happens next and if the humble, controlled Dr Vogel will finally sweep his driven, passionate Sister Bester off her feet. 

Your almost-meets-almost opportunities made us want to jump into the story to hook you up ourselves – lucky for a fleet of hospital staff who finally arranged for the sparks to start flying!

You certainly did not disappoint with the climax of the story ringing church bells and scattered confetti rain.  With nearly the entire Medi Clinic’s Medical staff attending your celebration we certainly hope no one needed any emergency CPR on this most gorgeous winter day.  Those Doctor’s script invites where so fitting to your whole diagnosis and we love the little touches of ‘you’ that we brought into the day – from your love of limoncello and Italy to the dance classes you took for 3 months leading up to the special day – all just to have the perfect opening dance on Ed Sheran’s Perfect. 

Marilyne and Marco, you are an incredible couple which made us believe in those fairy-tale endings again and wanting to play doctor-doctor all over again; just another proof that the child in everyone never truly grows up.

May your future continue to grow with the little seed that you planted in each other’s hearts and nurture.
